Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Palmdale, California is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will research, develop, and define Electrical Power System (EPS) architecture, schematics and requirements in coordination with system engineering and other specialized engineering fields. Investigate and analyze air vehicle electrical loads for Electrical Load Analysis (ELA) development, verification, and validation for EPS architecture electrical loads shared balance. Design and develop EPS architecture state diagram, verification of state diagram requirements, and integration of EPS state diagram compliant with air vehicle airworthiness, survivability, and functional system requirements. Design, develop, provide technical supplier management, test, and power quality evaluation for aircraft electrical power sources (generator, converter, battery), lubrication types, cooling systems, EPS\\vehicle controllers. Research, develop and define Power distribution system switching, perform coordination studies, and selection of isolation protection devices. Develops, reviews, and maintains EPS interface data (signal source data, engineering drawings and electro-mechanical models) to support Aircraft design. Design, develop, and define EPS controls and power functional block diagrams. Supports HIL/SIL testing, ground and flight testing, production, flight criticality, aircraft exterior/interior lighting evaluation, review separation codes and EMI categorization of harnesses to ensure full operation at the aircraft level. Ensures program reliability, cost and schedules objectives are accomplished by troubleshooting and collaboration of subsystem subject matter experts assisting review of air vehicle’s Electrical Power System (EPS) repair/maintenance/Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Investigations. Supports aircraft field EPS service requests at operational air bases ensuring aircraft mission capabilities. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of electrical engineering. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $63,600 - $119,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
