PRE AND POST-SALE CUSTOMER SUPPORT FOR GMSL SERDES. CREATION OF TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION SUCH AS: DATASHEETS, APPLICATION NOTES, WHITEPAPERS AND CUSTOMER PRESENTATION MATERIAL. PRODUCING REPORTS ON SYSTEM LEVEL TESTING TO SHOW HOW MAXIM PRODUCTS ARE ALIGNED WITH CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS. WRITING TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION TO SUPPORT CUSTOMER DESIGNS, PRODUCT EVALUATION BOARDS, AS WELL AS FULL SYSTEM OPERATION. PROVIDING REFERENCE DESIGNS. INTERFACING WITH CUSTOMERS AND THE BUSINESS TEAM TO UNDERSTAND MARKET TRENDS AND CUSTOMER NEEDS TO CREATE PRODUCT ROADMAPS. PROVIDING TRAINING TO FAES (FIELD APPLICATIONS ENGINEERS) AND CUSTOMER ENGINEERS GLOBALLY. ENGAGE WITH KEY CUSTOMERS AND MAXIM TEAMS, IN DEPTH VALIDATION OF NEW IC DESIGNS. DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRICAL HARDWARE FOR DEMONSTRATION AND TEST, INCLUDING EMC TESTING.
May be eligible for a hybrid schedule (work from home and the office).
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or closely related field and 4 years of work experience in the job offered or closely related occupation.
As an alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or closely related field and 6 years of work experience in the job offered or closely related occupation.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Must possess expertise/ knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/ knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/ knowledge cannot be "quantified" by "time." Required expertise/ knowledge includes:
1. Schematic and physical PCB design experience
2. Knowledge of high-speed interconnects
3. EMC testing and experience designing systems with Robust EMC performance
4. Embedded programming and system design
5. Test equipment usage and automation
6. Extensive electronics debugging experience.

The wage range for a new hire into this position is $120,900 to $172,050.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, training, external market data, internal equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
