Job Description
AECOM has a position available for a Principal Process Engineer . _This is a part-time variable, 100% remote opportunity._
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
+ Provide guidance to project team on coal-fired power plant wastewater stream characterization to define sampling locations, sampling and analysis plan, data interpretation and reporting.
+ Peer review of related project deliverables and recommendations.
+ Participation in client meetings to discuss project progress.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelors degree in Engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Demonstrated relevant experience in process engineering is required (understanding the fundamental chemistry of a system and applying engineering principles to troubleshoot, optimize, and develop cost effective solutions).
+ Previous experience required in coal-fired power plant operations and design including the development of energy/mass/water balances, predictive models to represent current and future operations and associated environmental parameters, assessment and improvement of control technologies, operator training, sampling and analysis, and ELG and NPDES permitting support.
+ Due to the nature of the client project(s), US Citizenship is required
+ Valid US Driver's License in good standing is required
Preferred Qualifications
+ Minimum of 30 years of experience in process engineering - understanding the fundamental chemistry of a system and applying engineering principles to troubleshoot, optimize, and develop cost effective solutions is desired
