Job Description Summary
The Instrumentation Engineer has technical ownership and responsibility for gas turbine, generator, and balance of plant fluid systems hardware for the Electrical and Instrumentation team within CCP Fluids Engineering. The engineer will ensure execution excellence with analysis, design studies, drawings, specifications, bills of material, and customer technical issue resolution for electrical equipment and systems. This position enables growth in technical breadth, strengthening of project management skills, and exposure to coaching and mentoring from other engineers.Job Description
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Enhance team culture by facilitating a safe, inclusive, and inspirational workplace
- Strong electrical and instrumentation technical knowledge and ability to perform engineering design for new product programs, new projects, and support of fleet issue resolution
- Drive a culture of one Gas Power team by partnering with adjacent organizations/stakeholders
- Deliver operational commitments and key process indicator targets
- Improve quality, delivery, and cost of GE products within team’s scope
- Implement lean methodologies including standard work, standard product, and kaizen
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor of Science/Technology in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in power plant electrical systems/equipment engineering
- Solid interpersonal skills; Self-motivated
- Understanding of fluid systems
- Proficient with Combined Cycle Plant processes and tools
- Strong technical expertise and engineering design experience in electrical systems and instrumentation
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, ATEX, etc)
- Customer-centric and team-focused
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

The salary range for this position is 77,500.00 - 96,900.00 - 116,300.00 USD annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may
be influenced by a variety of factors including the
candidate’s experience, their education, and the work
location. In addition, this position is eligible for 5% annual bonus potential. Available benefits include health, dental, eye, 401K, and more.
