- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

Amazon Music's Free+Prime Music team is looking for a Software Engineer with experience and desire to innovate, design, and build Amazon Music's totally free version of the service which we offer on both visual and voice devices around the world. As a software engineer, you will work internally and with other teams at Amazon to architect and develop features for personalization on discovery of free music that delights our customers. We are a uniquely positioned team that works across platforms and clients including but not limited to iOS, Android, Web, TV, and Alexa integrations. It a great place to expand on your full stack skills and solve complex problems at scale. The ideal candidate is interested in being part of a nimble team, passionate about experimenting to innovate for customers, and has a track record of delivering new features and products. About the team Our team is focused on giving away free music to customers and prime members while to educating them on the benefits of Amazon Music Unlimited. We build systems that are distributed on a large scale, spanning our music apps, web player, and voice-forward audio engagement on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa to support our customer base. Amazon Music offerings are available in countries around the world, and our applications support our mission of delivering music to customers in new and exciting ways that enhance their day-to-day lives.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- A proven ability to learn and adapt to new, complex development environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
