A week in the life of a Journey Flight Controls Systems Engineer includes:

• Provide technical and programmatic support and oversight on Navy aircraft platforms including F-35, E-2, and F-18.
• Design, develop, integrate, analyze, and test complex software-intensive systems.
• Complete Flight Control System testing (including simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-aircraft).
• Analyze flight control systems including flight control computers, software, hydraulic and electromechanical actuators, and mechanical flight control linkages.
• Analyze redundancy management of safety critical control systems.
• Support Built-In-Test (BIT) design and testing.
• Perform control law design and analysis.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
