UPAG has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer for Technical Program Analysis support located in Washington DC (Navy Yard with potential for light telework). #CJ #IN123
The Systems Engineer will provide analytic and engineering support to important Navy acquisition activities, with a focus on the application of engineering principles to program analysis and systems engineering support to the Virginia Class Submarine program office. The role may include engineering analysis, program data analysis, assessment of engineering management efforts, and analysis of submarine platform procurement and construction activities. Additionally, the Systems Engineer will translate complex technical problems into leadership-ready briefs, including briefs to clients and senior leadership on analytic findings and progress. This position is primarily located in Washington DC Navy Yard, with potential for light telework and local travel to client sites.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or relevant technical field.
- 5+ years in engineering or technical program analysis, including technical writing and program support for electrical engineering efforts, preferably in support of DoD acquisition efforts.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, to analyze and represent data and communicate to decision makers.
- Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, or advanced degrees in a relevant technical field.
- Experience working on submarine or undersea related programs.
- Experience with Defense Acquisition System DoD 5000 series and Navy or DoD program planning.
- Experience with and knowledgeable of the Navy requirements and program office organizations and processes.
