The Intel Components Research group is seeking a Materials Research Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to:
Demonstrate a safety-first attitude in all types and phases of work
Be responsible for the development of materials to meet program needs - often on short timelines with limited resources:
o Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the electroplating deposition, including growth mechanisms and the impact of additives on the process.
o Be proficient with standard semiconductor measurement techniques (AFM, ellipsometry, optical profilometry, SEM, SIMS, XPS, XRD, XRF, XRR etc.) needed to quantify material properties and discriminate between varying process inputs.
o Be an expert in experimental design and interpretation.
o Ability to make well-reasoned decisions with limited data.Engage semiconductor tool and material ecosystems to drive key engagements in support of Components Research programs.
Be an active member of Components Research's external engagements team, engaging with universities, national labs, semiconductor consortia and vendors to identify and establish new research opportunities.
