Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer Associate for a position in Orlando, FL. This position applies quality principles in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and / or buy products. Responsibilities include:
Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models / designs, drawings, and procedures.
Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical Engineering degree at the Bachelor level or above
Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance
Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products
Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instructions and / or PO notes.
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex.
Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement
Knowledge Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated presentation skills
Ability to travel
Desired Skills:
Lean / Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt)
Experience working in an IPT structure in a dynamic environment
Understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
Experience working with Government customers
Effective communication skills, i.e., written, oral, listening and technical writing
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
