We are looking for a talented Systems Support Associate to join our team specializing in supporting engineering systems for our Cummins Recon Plant in North Charleston, South Carolina.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Help associates to properly identify the parts as well as determine part acceptance per the visual inspection standards (VIS).
  • Help with training of CRP product engineering documents and level sign off associates especially on 3rdshift.
  • Perform product audits throughout the disassembly and salvage to help identify additional potential salvage projects.
  • Perform MRB walks and drive actions from findings.
  • Support MUV projects.
  • Support R2R activities.
  • Perform bill of material (BOM)audits
  • Leads and coordinates engineering functional technology needs, may lead a team of associates that supports engineering information systems and end users.
  • Develops, updates, and administers department databases, wikis, websites, systems, security status and technical libraries; assists with the migration from one technology platform to another technology platform; participates in the engineering application certification process.
  • Monitors and audits function-related activities.
  • Aligns engineering department training and communication process; defines and maintains workstations used specifically for the technologies administered.
  • Provides engineering support and administration expertise for databases, technologies, web sites and technical libraries; ability to troubleshoot engineering system functionality and interfaces; participates in the development of technologies, websites, wikis, or databases, develop web and wiki pages.
  • Ensures installation, set-up, and technical support for new and existing systems; provides global support for data maintenance; manages global data and supports systems.
  • Coordinates related financial activities such as tracking charges and charge backs; interfaces with financial systems; analyzes, compares, and reports related financial data.
  • Initiates, develops, leads improvement processes; actively participates in self- and team audits and resulting process improvements.
  • Develops and conducts training programs.
  • Understands the structure of the organization and maintains a strong network across departments; draws on network to answer questions, solve problems, and successfully execute responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering systems.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
