We are looking for a talented Maintenance Technician to join our team specializing in mechanical maintenance for our Cummins Recon Plant in North Charleston, South Carolina.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Troubleshoot, assemble, install, test, and maintain mechanical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable.
- Learn and understand the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.
- May work independently and instruct and coach others.
- Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required to meet production goal.
- Participate actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
- Must have experience in manufacturing environment.
- Must have experience with technical drawings and technical documentation.
- Must have experience with troubleshooting methods.
- Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in support of electromechanical systems or equivalent formal training.
- Machining background, with CNC turning and grinding; including CNC basic programing and knowledge of tooling.
- Photo-electric devices, inductive devices, analog devices, control devices (PLC, PC), motors, pumps, and associated controls.
- Must have experience in basic PLC instructions set.
- Must have good understanding of various I/O modules and how they function.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
