POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Engineer – Power Cable is based out of Milford, NH. The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing sales and customer technical support relating to Power Cable products (Hendrix TRXLPE insulated 5-46 kV and Kerite DR-EPR insulated 5-138 kV power cables).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Collaborates with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
- Generates cable costs and technical data sheets for quoting.
- Develops and maintains cable costing tools.
- Prepares and maintains technical reviews of customer specifications.
- Develops an in-depth knowledge of products and services.
- Prepares and provides technical training for Sales and Marketing.
- Guides customer cable requirements towards Marmon Utility standard designs.
- Supports Sales group on technical calls with customers.
- Supports marketing initiatives with catalog updates and technical product literature.
- Works closely with Account Managers to provide clear product type design definitions.
- Technical liaison to customers for Industry Standard updates.
- Maintains 80/20 design variables.
- Works well with others in cross-functional teams.
- Works closely with Product Engineers to understand industry product requirements and plant capabilities.
- Supports Plant Quality groups with external quality concerns.
- Limited travel expected. Travel may include Kerite plant visits, industry conferences, and customer visits.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year Engineering degree, BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
