Position summary

T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Engineers, Software located in Overland Park, KS will recognize system protocols, how systems operate, and data flows.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain understanding of current technology benefits and documents.

  • Work independently to develop a full software stack.

  • Recognize the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation work.

  • Undergo independent study of current technology.

  • Interact with System Engineers to define system requirements and necessary requirements for automation.

  • Support engineering projects by developing software solutions.

  • Conduct tests and inspections and prepare reports and calculations.

  • Present new ideas to improve existing systems, processes, and services.

  • Review current company processes to highlight questions that may drive process refinement.

  • Write basic documentation on how technology works.

  • Contribute clear documentation for new code and systems used.

  • Document systems designs, presentations, and business requirements for consumption at the engineer level.

  • Collaborate with technical teams and utilize system expertise to deliver technical solutions.

  • Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Skill requirements:

  • (1) Conducting data analysis, database design, and developing complex SQL using MS SQL Server, SSMS, PostGres SQL, SparkSQL, JSON/XML, and SQL Stored Procedure.

  • (2) Orchestrating and automating Big Data/ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python, SparkSql and ADW.

  • (3) Releasing and deploying developed code using CICD version control.

  • (4) Performing data integration in Cloud and on-premise systems using Azure Datawarehouse, Python, Pandas, Git/GitHub, PL/SQL, and ADF.

  • (5) Developing software following Software Development Lifecyle (SDLC) and Agile SAFe Development methodologies using JIRA, Visual Studios, MS Visio, Confluence and SharePoint.

  • (6) Designing and implementing web applications using Java spring and hibernate framework, maven, SOAP/REST API, post gresDB, Vue.js on IntelliJ Idea.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems and Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and 1 year of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and 3 year of relevant work experience.

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
