Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Full Stack Developer to be based in New York, NY. The successful candidate will be joining the Technology Services team supporting the US East region working Eastern time zone hours, yet can work in the office, hybrid or fully remote depending upon your location in the US.

Responsibilities include:
+ Managing workload, project planning and delivery

+ Project delivery of software development scope

+ Completes work based upon the project schedule.

+ Participate in client workshops to further refine requirements

+ Contribute to technical approach discussions

+ Perform testing on development environment and resolve bugs

+ Works with the quality assurance tester to resolve any problems.

+ Work closely with UI/UX designer providing technical feasibility and recommendations

+ Create executable code for the functionality of web design element

+ Produce code for server-side elements

+ Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability

+ Performs unit testing of their work.

+ Provide website maintenance and enhancements

+ Build reusable code and libraries for future use

+ Attention to detail and quality in written code

+ Delegating project work to team members as needed

+ Participates in department code reviews.

+ Mentors junior level developers.

+ Work in a collaborative fast-paced environment

+ Improve and maintain technology assets in use on the program

+ Knows or learns to use the tools required for the job assignment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

+ BA/BS plus six years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

+ 2+ years of hands-on experience with node.js / express Development, React and/or Angular, and MySQL or SQL Server Databases

+ 2+ years of hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform

+ Must be a US Citizen- Due to the nature of the work

+ Sponsorship is available for this position

Preferred Qualifications

+ Ability and willingness to work on an Eastern time zone schedule

+ Experience following Secure Development Lifecycle

+ Firm understanding and experience following of SOLID Principles

+ Experience retrieving data from APIs

+ Experience with mobile development Android/OS

+ Experience with website performance improvements

+ Experience with automated testing frameworks

+ Experience with performing unit tests and end-to-end testing

+ Experience with various user authentication methods, including Microsoft Azure

+ Relocation is not available

Offered rate of compensation (NYC & Washington DC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000.
