Position Overview:

Showpad is looking for an IT Operations Specialist for our Chicago office.

As an IT Operations Specialist you will be part of an international team (US-EMEA) responsible for helping your Showpad colleagues around the globe whenever they face an IT incident or request for an IT change. In addition, you will manage end user equipment, administrate some of our IT platforms and provision software licenses. You will also be performing IT lifecycle activities, such as user onboarding, application access changes, IT asset management and end user training. You will work closely with the IT systems engineers' team to continuously improve user experience.

This role roles up to the Team Lead, IT Operations and is part of a larger international IT Operations Team.

Key Responsibilities for an IT Operations Specialist at Showpad:

  • Help your colleagues onboarding the company with corporate devices (primarily MacOS, iOS) and fit-for-purpose communication and collaboration tools
  • Provide first level IT support to all end users across the regions, throughout the entire employee life cycle (access changes, off-boarding...)
  • Support local end-user equipment such as laptop, tablet and mobile phone systems
  • Maintain the communication and collaboration technologies, in particular office meeting rooms' equipment
  • Maintain IT assets inventory on site in our Chicago HQ
  • Manage incoming tickets in our service desk solution, considering service level requirements and criticality level
  • Monitor the global internal IT systems and infrastructure components
  • Support IT systems engineers to resolve recurring problems
  • Sync your activities, collect feedback and share your experience with other IT Operations Specialists
  • Execute and optimize IT policies and procedures and provide training to application users and managers
  • Create and maintain IT documentation related to IT operations activities
  • Propose process and IT changes to accelerate and improve quality of our services to end users
  • Take the lead of some IT changes and contribute to continuously improve IT operational efficiency
  • Learn about, and stay up to date with new technologies and solutions for the modern IT organization

Minimum Requirements for an IT Operations Specialist at Showpad:

  • Experience with networks, desktop management (primarily MacOS), network infrastructure, telecommunications, SSO, Enterprise Mobility Management Solutions and Cloud application management
  • Experience with service desk systems
  • Customer experience is ingrained within your DNA
  • A desire to continuously improve IT processes and IT landscape and work rigorously on IT changes, to offer a better customer experience
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to be flexible in working independently as well as in a team
  • Pragmatic approach
  • The desire to both learn from others and support other teams

Travel Requirements: This particular role will not require any travel but will require in office support 3 days a week
