Core Responsibilities
Technology Training Development
- Serve as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) and expert in their respective discipline to aid in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation efforts for network engineering technology training.
- Ensure curriculum, content, and related assessments are current, technically accurate, and appropriate to the needs of learners. Near-term emphases include the CRAN (Converged Regional Area Network), I-Bone, vCMTS (Virtual Cable Modem Termination System), Project Genesis, and 10G, but the Engineer will be expected to develop role-appropriate credibility in new areas as business needs dictate.
- Collaborate with the ULearn Program Manager to identify business and technical requirements, determine optimal approaches to creating learning experiences.
- Facilitate the development of communities of technical practice within Comcast, fostering knowledge sharing among engineers in different organizations.
- Develop and enforce high standards of process and content quality for all ULearn learning programs.
Technology Training Facilitation and Delivery
- Lead, facilitate, and deliver technology training sessions within the Engineer’s areas of expertise.
- Maintain credibility with our technologist customers by staying current in relevant network engineering technical disciplines.
Requirements
- Approximately 7-10 years of experience as a practicing technologist in network engineering with 5 of those years within a Comcast network engineering role.
- Demonstrated ability to range across multiple technical disciplines and to acquire new technical skills as needed, potentially in short timeframes and through self-directed learning.
- Demonstrated passion for learning and development, evidenced in part by a strong history of personal learning and development efforts.
- Experience developing learning programs for others and delivering education to technical/professional audiences. Formal teaching experience is a plus.
- Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively partner with senior level executives and others across several functions.
- Ability to work with IT and/or system developers/administrators to identify technological applications or constraints and leverage technology to achieve desired results.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal/written communication skills.

Education
Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Salary:
National Pay Range: $73,963.08 USD-$173,350.98 USD
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
