We are looking to add a new Senior Technical Consultant to our national business unit Custom Development and DevOps (CDDO) team.
Job Overview:
You are expected to collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, participate in sales and various pursuits focused on our client's business needs. You will also contribute to technical thought leadership, industry best-practices, system modeling, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your ability to provide leading-edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.
- Participate in coordination of several development pillars (data, API integration, mobile UX).
- Provide API design and coding support including coordination with client stakeholders, development teams, QA validation, and release management.
- Participate in the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimation, development, system validation, project oversight, system architecture and production delivery.
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor. Provide technical support or leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.
- Familiar with off-shore development models (i.e. India development groups) and able to work well with off-shore development teams.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with client and Perficient team members.
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
- Passionate API developer with 5 to 10 years of application development experience.
- Minimum 3 years of programming experience with NodeJS/TypeScript
- At least 2-3 years of experience with backend technologies including data integration via APIs, transaction management, and preferably support for mobile device front end.
- Experience with AWS (Database, Lambda functions, API Gateway) preferred.
- Experience with Terraform infrastructure as code preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP integration (or experience accessing SAP data) is greatly preferred.
- Client facing or consulting experience highly preferred.
- Skilled problem solver with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to varied environments.
- Continuous learner / technology leader - dynamic individual energized by fast paced personal and professional growth.
- Excellent communicators who can explain and present complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
- Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
- Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
- Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents – including visual modeling techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.
