We are seeking an Electrical Engineer I with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field. Responsibilities:
Design circuits and develop wiring diagrams, electrical harness assembly, and installation/routing drawings using AutoCAD and E3 Zuken electrical design software.
Collaborate with mechanical design team to verify suitability and compatibility between electrical designs and mechanical/structural interfaces.
Collaborate with systems engineering design team to verify electrical designs meet customer and system integration requirements.
Perform Electrical Load Analysis (ELA) to ensure that electrical designs do not overload supplied power for interfacing buses.
Substantiate compliance of electrical circuits with airworthiness certification requirements.
Perform on-site engineering liaison services during actual aircraft integration efforts. This includes verification and over sight of electrical designs during first-time installations, and real-time updates of engineering drawings, as required.
Must-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 0-2 years of relevant experience
Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Basic understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Electrical engineering background / problem solving skills / communications skills / MS Office tools experience
Preferred:
Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)
Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
Familiar with Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)
Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture
Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools
Proficiency in designing circuits using AutoCAD and/or E3 Zuken electrical design software
