Hitachi Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its Alamo, TN location.This position will participate in the development and application of various processes and utilization of specialized equipment to efficiently accomplish such objectives as fabrication, production, modification, or repair of Hitachi Energy products.
Your responsibilities
- Monitor progress, comply with quality and schedule requirements, and maintain detailed logs and records
- Perform complex engineering assignments associated with various engineering activities
- Write work instructions, job aids and standard work.
- Write technical specifications for equipment procurement.
- Design tools and equipment to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
- Perform hands on troubleshooting in manufacturing environment.
- Write, maintain and analyze process recipes within several digital environments.
- Compile and assimilate data from various sources, conduct relatively routine operations and tests, prepare re-ports and develop graphics for presentations.
- Use computer programs to perform various engineering operations, conduct analyses and provide related data and information.
- Participate in, and assist engineers involved in a variety of more complex engineering activities.
- Assignments require application of standard engineering concepts, familiarization with related computer pro-grams, and general understanding of the group's operations in order to provide effective engineering support.
Your background
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Requires ability to communicate effectively and resolve routine problems.
- Lead and participate in Kaizen and Process Excellence events using LEAN methodology to continuously improve manufacturing flows and processes.
