Your Role:
- Support Senior staff and on-site technical leads through the collection, analyzing, and development of reports in support of environmental programs for federal, state, and local clients.
- Support Department of Defense Environmental Programs such as environmental water quality, air quality, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, solid waste, toxics, and planning.
o Support the review/update of Hazardous Waste Management Plans
o Support the review/update of Solid Waste Management Plans
o Support the review/update of Qualified Recycling Program Plan
o Support the review/update of SPCC Plans and tank inventories
o Assist in performing inspections and administering maintenance program for landfill
- Conduct soil, water, and air sampling to validate the presence or absence of contaminants.
o Sampling/analysis/report development for RCRA and NPDES permit requirements
- Support Department of Defense and other agencies Air Quality Program to include
o Assist with Title V compliance reviews
o Support the development of Greenhouse Gas Inventories and reporting
o NSR, PSD, and Title V permitting.
o Perform annual inspections, including CARB Method 9 VEE testing
o Support other environmental protocols as required.
- Performs technical writing for review/approval by senior level personnel.
- Perform EESOH-MIS VOC content reviews, supports landfill sampling and reporting.
- Supports AQ Records management through APIMS data entry
- Coordinates with installation personnel on the scheduling of inspections and testing.
- Data review, option evaluation, applicability review, and recommendation of best results for review by senior staff.
- Supports senior staff regarding client interaction and presentation of options and results.
- Assist in the production of deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Environmental Studies or related field or equivalent related work experience.
- 0-2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of the United States Air Force or other DoD organizations preferred.
- Knowledge of California rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental issues in the state of California.
- Ability to interact and communicate directly with the client and provide options and results of deliverables.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CARB Method 9 Certification.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver’s license.
- Excellent communications, technical report writing, fact and research finding.
- Sampling, field work, using measuring instruments, data analyses and reporting.
- Computer skills, MS Excel, Word, ACCESS, adobe.
- Must be able to obtain a government security clearance and Common Access Card (CAC).
