Position Summary:

As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a small pluri-disciplinary and international development team, dedicated to the development of a complete surgical robotic procedural solution. You are a self-starter, detail-oriented, organized and deadline driven. You also have strong communication skills, a “roll your sleeves up” mentality and be able to work in an Agile structure with changing priorities. You will be responsible for software development and support of user interface of procedural solutions software displayed in the operating room. The position will be a hands-on one with the individual capable of creative and systematic product development with minimum supervision.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Developing prototypes, proofs of concept in addition to production-quality solutions
  • Demonstrating a passion for software development and test-driven development
  • Contributing to design, testing and documentation
  • Developing new solutions from the ground up and taking over the development and maintenance of existing software solutions
  • Regularly attending surgical cases to understand context and end user requirements
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Able to work on sizeable individual efforts as well as on teams using agile methodologies
  • Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
  • Ensuring Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role.
  • Representing the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of professional software development experience OR a Master’s degree
  • Object oriented C++ development, including C++17 and later
  • Qt and QML framework experience
  • Test-driven programming
  • Medical device or life sciences experience are an asset
  • Experience with GIT source control and pull request processes a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as a key contributor in small or large teams
  • Excellent oral, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and E-mail
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time, nationally and internationally
