- Specifies, designs, codes, and takes responsibility for large or complex systems. Selects appropriate design standards, methods, and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures they are applied effectively and along with standard
- Reviews systems design to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology
- Sets policy and standards for solution development projects. Promotes benefits of addressing security issues
- Supports the design of system architecture and related interfaces. Coaches Application Developers in software development capabilities
- Steers and controls the integration build, accepts software modules from Application Developers, and produces software builds for loading into the target environment
- Steers and controls the coding quality
Your profile
Qualifications: Required:- Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in technical leadership for software development, and 2+ years of hands-on development experience in Microsoft Azure technologies for Enterprise Cloud transformation programs
- Understanding of modern application architectures such as n-tier, distributed, centralized, micro, SOA, etc.
- Highly proficient in developing high volume, low latency REST APIs
- Experience with Web APIs (client and server) and knowledge about current API frameworks (Open API/Swagger), Oauth
- Experienced in an OO language such as Java (1.8+), and Spring framework
- Experience building scalable and fault-tolerant software using Microsoft technologies
- Experience in the Azure APIM, layers like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request, and response modifications using the API management platform
- Experience with developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks, PaaS, container orchestration systems, or other applicable platforms
- Microsoft Azure Certifications
- Knowledge of Guidewire Insurance Suite and digital products
- Experience with Azure CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps tools, and Azure DevOps source control repositories like GIT
- Comfortable with one or more ORM framework
- Understanding of P&C insurance and business processes
