Job Description
Central Control Management solidifies an effective firmwide control framework within and across all lines of business by identifying and remediating control issues with a sense of urgency, irrespective of the functional area. The Central Control Management team works collaboratively with other control disciplines and oversees existing control functions as well as the development of new control functions and protocols. This process enables the firm to engage the appropriate teams in a timely manner and provides the ability to quickly remediate critical control issues across all the impacted areas of the firm.\\
Control Management is hiring a AI/machine learning model developer to drive the analytics and AI/ML program who will data mine to identify insights, build models to production, mentor other machine learning model developers, and work with stakeholders to deliver business value.
Job responsibilities
- Research data to discover insights and develop innovative ML-based solutions to some of Control Management's hardest problems
- Understand the AI/ML program journey to formulate relevant high impact business questions that can be answered through data analysis
- Work on building robust Data Science capabilities which can be scalable across multiple business use cases
- Collaborate with Tech partners to design and deploy Machine Learning services that can be integrated with strategic systems
- Think strategically to leverage reusable components within the firm and state of the art tools available externally when building the capabilities
- Document, communicate and explain approach and results to non-technical audiences such as business stakeholders and upper-level management
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Master's degree/Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science or Technology-related discipline
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of AI/ML, model developing experience
- Hands-on experience developing Data Science and ML capabilities to production at scale, including monitoring, maintenance, and operations of production models
- Hands-on experience with Deep Neural Network packages (examples: TensorFlow, Theano, PyTorch, Keras)
- Hands-on experience with Timeseries models (examples: ARIMA, VECM, VAR, etc...)
- Experience with big-data and cloud technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, SparkML, AWS Sagemaker, etc.
- Experience with python model documentation packages (Sphinx, restructured Text (.rst , etc..)
- Strong understanding of various machine learning concepts, including Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Strong ability to develop and debug in Python with extensive experience with machine learning APIs and computational packages (examples: Scikit-Learn, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, statsmodels)
- Should be able to work both individually and collaboratively in teams in order to achieve project goals
- Must be curious, hardworking, detail-oriented, and motivated by complex analytical problems
- Able to be results and client-focused and follow the agile development paradigm
- Able to design or evaluate intrinsic and extrinsic metrics of your model's performance which are aligned with business goals.
- Able to independently research and propose alternatives with some guidance as to problem relevance
- Able to work with non-specialists in a partnership model, conveys information clearly and creates a sense of trust with stakeholders
