Job Description
As an analytics developer on the SPG Research team, you will work with publishing analysts to develop new and insightful analytic reporting. You will need a strong programming background to create robust, automated processes to power daily report generation. Extensive financial knowledge, particularly related to securitized products cashflows and modeling, will be critical to creating analytics that clients find insightful.

Job responsibilities:
  • Develop new analytic reports on agency MBS, resi credit, CMBS
  • Modernize existing infrastructure
  • Coordinate with multiple other tech teams (calc, database, etc.) to ensure smooth delivery of daily reports
  • Troubleshoot issues arising from consuming daily market data inputs
  • Work with publishing analysts to meet internal and external reporting needs

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strong programming, data science/statistical, and problem solving skills
  • Hands-on experience in securitized products database work
  • Experience in programming (Python, C++, R, Perl)
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and a good team player
  • Strong communication and writing skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Familiarity with AWS environments
