Role & Responsibilities:

• Assists in the care of patients in the Operating Room and related areas under the direct supervision of the professional nurse
• Assists in the care, preparation and maintenance of sterile and un-sterile equipment
• Demonstrates ability to apply principles of sterile technique
• Assists circulating nurse
• Assists in the safe transfer and positioning of patients according to accepted procedure

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited CST Training Program.
• Certification with National Board Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Relevant experience

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $38.63 - $38.63 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
