Identify and eliminate manual efforts by way of automating the effort. Effectivity eliminating Toil in the environment.

Creating proactive awareness alerting for events that only require remediation actions to be taken.

Living and breathing SLOs to identify and remediate issues before SLAs are violated.

Continuous iterative incremental changes to improve the process.

This position is a development position.

This team’s future is AWS technologies. Right now, there is a relatively small footprint in the cloud compared to on prem. The interview will be on AWS services with python as a programing language (the future) along with discussions regarding on prem data ETL repositories utilizing Oracle, and UDB (the present/past)

Identify and eliminate tasks which requires manual intervention through automated solutions.

Operational Activities

Monitors and reviews incidents reported by business teams.

Facilitates bridge calls in the event of critical job failures in production.

Assigns or escalates reporting defects to the delivery team and sees cases through completion.

Collaborates with Business and Delivery teams to meet standard SLA for resolving production defects.

Initiates Change Management tickets as needed for reporting change orders and/or releases.

Drive reliability of systems by performing the coding change or coordinate with applicable delivery team.

Be embedded with the delivery team to guide SRE, and understand all system modifications,

Maintains process and troubleshooting documentation to be utilized by both US-based and offshore Production Support resources.

Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience in the Python programming language.

2+ year hands on development experiences in AWS technologies – Cloud Watch, Step Functions, Lambda, Glue, EC2, Redshift, DynamoDB, SQS, ECS/EKS, Elastic Search, Snowflake, Elastic Cache, databricks, Terraform to name a few

System Administration skills of UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems required.

Plus':
PySpark/SQL

Experience with monitoring and observability products like Dynatrace, CA APM, Splunk etc.

Experience with build and deployment pipeline technologies like Jenkins, Cloudbees, Terraform, Urban Code Deploy, Ansible, Maven, GitHub

Experience with data warehouse technologies (Teradata, Oracle, Informatica and Datastage) with very good understanding of backend database transactions

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 100,500 - 167,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
