We can’t wait to hear from you!In this position, you will support the eMobility Group as a Sr Engineer for ePowertrain Systems, working with feature owners and component owners for software and controls implementation. This person will be responsible for leading high level control strategy for the eDrive systems, which includes the ePowertrain and all related HV components, ensuring optimal performance and implementation. Additionally, ensuring all features are implemented into various ECUs, and cohesive software and network communication between components. You will also be investigating future advanced control strategies that would lead to optimal efficiency and capabilities of electrified powertrains in the industry!

Position offers a starting salary range of $124,000.00 - $158,000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

Qualifikationen
What You Drive at DTNA
- Lead system development for the HV System & Charging systems with other powertrain feature and system owners, ensuring software communication between all devices and ECUs are optimized
- Lead the systems development along with global partners within TT/X and TT/S for High voltage systems & Charging systems
- Provide DTNA requirements to global functional safety work products (HARA, FSC, etc.)
- Support implementation of functions in ePowertrain controllers by being expert on functional decomposition
- Coordinate with System Validation Team to sign off that system requirements are met
- Lead issue resolution on powertrain ECUs during system-level and vehicle-level validation, resolving interoperability problems and coordination between controllers
- Verify and improve powertrain systems & functions by participating in testing activities and workshops
- Support production project timing to rollout electric test trucks according to project timing
- Stay current on electric vehicle technology developments. Generate new ideas and methods for optimizing vehicle design, systems, and processes
- Broaden your expertise outside of your immediate responsibilities and become an expert in eMobility topics
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field with 4-7 years of experience
- Experience with DFMEA and ISO26262 Functional Safety analysis for automotive electronics products
- Experience with vehicle networks, CAN, communication protocols, and automotive software development
- Ability to work on cross-functional international teams to implement & document the system requirements
- Must be well-organized, able to handle multiple, detailed tasks, and work professionally with various levels of DTNA management
- Excellent self-management and leadership skills required
- Strong interpersonal skills and, oral and written communication skills.
- Moderate travel (~20%), especially initially
- Detail oriented, reliable, and self-motivated
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change
Exceptional Canididates Might Have
- Experience in systems development & function development for Electric powertrain / Mechatronic systems
- Experience with model based software development, software coding, powertrain calibration, or software troubleshooting/ validation
- Experience designing controls and software on high voltage automotive powertrain products
- Strong technical proficiency on commercial vehicle design with a focus on software, controls, or calibration
- Languages: English (fluent); German (Intermediate) preferred; additional language(s) appreciated
