Costco’s Cybersecurity Automation Team (CSAT) is responsible for the design and implementation of solutions that align with business automation goals and objectives. The Software Developer will participate in design sessions; configuring and coding new features for various projects to support information security tools and/or applications. The ideal candidate will work within the Costco development and project management methodologies.

ROLE
Executes against project plans and delivers assignments within scope, schedule, and budget.
Creates, executes, and evaluates unit/integration tests.
Adopts and adapts to newly approved technologies, programming languages, tools, and standards.
Identifies, assesses, and formulates architectural impacts and solutions from business requirements.
Collaborates to ensure application designs utilize appropriate patterns and standards.
Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints, including the ability to estimate work needed.
Assesses functional and nonfunctional requirements and creates designs to meet both business and technical needs.
Creates conceptual and detailed technical design documents.
Provides implementation expertise contributing to rollback, post install, data migration, and other artifacts as required, including creation of support plans.
Adheres to security management practices and promotes established security standards.
Identifies and resolves problems, often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow; develops and evaluates options, and implements solutions.
Develops features for integrating and connecting infosec services.
Designs and implements solutions into existing environments and desigs business workflows to ensure proper application mapping/flow.
Creates conceptual and detailed technical design documents.
Provides accurate and timely estimates (work breakdown schedules).
Documents and executes unit and integration tests.
Defines and implements standards and best practices for software development.
Participates in code review sessions as a coordinator, owner, reader, recorder or observer.
Supports the needs and requirements of other IT departments.
Collaborates with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Quality Assurance Analysts, and Software Developers in a DevOps model to extend the capabilities of the applications.
Provides 3rd-level application support for applications.
REQUIRED
Minimum 3 years’ experience in information security automation.
Strong understanding of Role Based Access Control (RBAC) design and methodology.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Java, JavaScript, BeanShell, etc.).
Working knowledge of Web Services, REST, SOAP, and XML technologies.
Proficient working knowledge of code versioning tools.
Experience with product extensions and interfaces to ensure proper functionality and integration with other systems.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts and tooling.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other technical experts; develop solution and functional design documents to support development of final solutions; and provide project estimates and lead technical teams to consistently meet commitments.
Able to provide project estimates and work-breakdown schedules.
Extremely responsive, able to work under pressure in crisis with a strong sense of urgency.
Responsible, conscientious, organized, self-motivated, and able to work with limited supervision.
Detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze potential future issues.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Able to manage priorities and timelines, with a focus on delivery.
High integrity, accountability, a positive attitude, and willingness to do what it takes to make the team successful.
Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business including weekends and holidays.
Recommended
Experience as a development lead on major projects utilizing a formal software development lifecycle.
Familiarity with Identity and Access Management architectures, solutions, and principles.
Strong leadership and team building skills.
Experience delivering complex and scalable business driven solutions.
Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Able to share technical knowledge and clearly communicate technical concepts.
Experience in Role Based Access Control (RBAC) data mining exercises.
Knowledge of SAP connection methodology, such as BAPI, HANA, UME, etc.

Pay Range: $105,000 - $135,000
