What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Develop existing, and foster new client relationships within Florida.
- Identify, research, and qualify RFP/ RFQ’s and upcoming projects for go/no go potential.
- Direct and lead RFP/ RFQ responses.
- Perform at a ‘responsible charge’ level; meeting exp’s design and quality levels.
- Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
- Work with project team and clients to meet scheduled project milestones on multiple projects.
- Apply risk management procedures daily to minimize exp’s and client’s exposure to problems.
- Understand MEP/FP work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan.
- Understand proper scope of MEP/FP SD, DD, CD level documents – and deliver appropriate documentation.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, etc).
- Edit and develop scope of work narratives (SD narrative, basis of design, etc).
- Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases.
- Thorough knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical codes.
- Advanced equipment selection and analysis (generators, UPS units, chillers, boilers).
- Be able to direct and mentor designer level staff on all of their responsibilities on a daily basis.
- QA/QC reviews of all calculations by designers, and provide guidance and mentoring.
What your experience looks like
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program preferred.
- 7+ years of building HVAC or Electrical design experience, healthcare facility design preferred.
- Registered Professional Engineer preferred.
