Job Description
The Software Application Developer Specialist, under direction, will help develop and maintain interactive web applications developed using C#, Python, REST APIs backed by a SQL database and using a progressive JavaScript front-end, Vue.js.

Responsibilities:
  • Development - Reviews, designs, codes, and tests complex programs, program modifications, or applications under supervision of the lead software developer. Develops specifications based on input from the customer.
  • Software Analysis - Evaluates software products and programming languages to determine their applicability to a specific system and/or project.
  • Reporting and Planning - Writes documentation of system procedures and guidelines for application users as well as for programs and program modifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of experience developing software applications or related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 1 to 2 years professional experience developing software applications.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C#, Python
  • Experience with front-end web development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience with relational database systems
  • Ability to train under lead developer and learn existing development stack: ASP.Net Core C#, Python, REST API, SQL Server/MySQL, Vue.js, HTML/CSS with Bootstrap
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with ASP.Net Core web applications
  • Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks: Vue.js, React, or Angular
  • Experience with SQL Server or MySQL
  • Working knowledge of standard computer and software applications
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
Other Requirements
Training will be provided, but the applicant must have some basic experience developing web applications and a strong interest in learning new frameworks.
