NFSA Associate IT Customer Support Analyst

KBR is seeking an Associate IT Customer Support Analyst to support the NAVAIR Fleet System Array (NFSA) program located in Patuxent River, MD. This work is in support of the Joint Technical Data Integration (JTDI) program.

Position Description:

The Associate IT Customer Support Analyst will provide in-service sustainment support for the NAVAIR Fleet Systems Array (NFSA) project of the Joint Technical Data Integration (JTDI) Program. NFSA provides the hardware platform for the supported virtual machines (VMs) and deployed applications of the JTDI program. JTDI is the primary platform for transporting authoritative technical data to maintainers in the ashore, afloat, and expeditionary environments (IETMs, Publications, Training, and Safety Data). It moves Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) data from deployed/operational activities to up line decision support analysts. JTDI resolves multiple problems associated with the global delivery of technical data, particularly transporting data files in Warfighting environments with limited infrastructure, bandwidth, or connectivity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in weekly sustainment meetings to discuss current NAVAIR National Help Desk (NHD) tickets and service interruptions or challenges.
  • Pursue resolution to current NHD tickets and work to rectify challenges facing the operating forces using the NFSA.
  • Provide remote operating system and software maintenance, hardware support and software improvements for deployed systems.
  • Provide expertise in the design and publication of the NFSA Policy Layout Guide and testing for HBSS integration.
  • Author and submit for review/approval all documentation needed to access OneNet, MCCEN and NMCI networks.
  • Provide technical direction and process improvement recommendations for system maintenance, enhancements, improvements, and development of changes required to operate and maintain NFSA systems, and the resident applications in all environments, ensuring mission accomplishment.
  • Provide inputs to the Systems Administration Guide (SAG), to include updated external requirements, as they pertain to installation and maintenance of deployed hardware and software. Also implement all support processes identified in the NFSA Administration Guide

Required Experience:

  • Experience with Hypervisor technologies to include VMware ESXi and Windows Hyper-V
  • Experience with Microsoft Server Operating System
  • Experience with a variety of LAN switches and TCP/IP networking
  • Current Operating System (OS) certification

Desired Experience:

  • Specific experience with IIS 7.5 or greater
  • Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN)

Required Education:

BS or AS degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a relevant technical field; OR 6 or more years’ relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Security Clearance Requirement: Secret with SSBI OR Top-Secret security clearance.
