R&D Mechanical Engineer (Principal - Senior Advisor)

Provides Mechanical Engineering technical expertise to meet internal and external customer requirements- Responsible for creating and evaluating mechanical designs using 3D CAD and other engineering tools
- Develops custom equations and solutions using various engineering tools
- Provides engineering guidance and uses advanced engineering techniques to meet complex design criteria
- Assists with building prototype equipment and systems for testing
- Provides recommendations for tests results, assists, and supervises complex testing
- Coordinates with project leads to produce project deliverables by assessing input requirements and applying functional specifications
- Reviews and assesses appropriate standards, regulations, and specifications for testing and reliability analysis on projects and processes
- Delivers innovative Intellectual Property recommendations for Halliburton and reviews technical papers
- Promotes and contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains open lines of communication with all levels of the organization
- Serves as a technical expert by coaching and developing other employees
- Represents Halliburton in professional societies in area of specialization
- Previous Mechanical Engineering experience with downhole Wireline tools is preferred
- Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline and seven years of related experience. Completion of a masters or doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred
