Senior IT Applications DeveloperSenior IT Applications Developer (KBR Wyle Services, LLC, Houston, TX) (Multiple Positions):
Collaborate with the business analysis team to define user requirements and create technical specifications for building line of business applications. Design and develop web applications using ASP.net, HTML, and CSS. Design and develop REST web services using ASP.net for retrieving data from the database and providing it to the user interface to be presented to the application user. Write SQL Stored Procedures to retrieve data from database. Write SSIS package to support Extract Transform and Load data. Follow modern software development practices, including unit testing, continuous integration, and configuration management. Work as a member of large team including other developers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and Project Manager interacting with related teams on new product development. Create responsive user interface from provided UX design concepts. Integrate with Commercial off-the-shelf software products and configuration of third-party components, such as Telerik Kendo UI. Troubleshoot software issues in various deployed environments, such as Test, pre-production and production.
Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time. Candidate may reside/work from anywhere in the U.S.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience in the Information Technology field OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of work experience in the Information Technology field.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Building line of business web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, XML, JSON, C#, Web Development, and .net framework
- Creating, reading and updating data by writing stored procedures using SQL Server;
- Coding, testing and debugging software using Visual Studio; and
- Designing and developing web applications and services using ASP.net, CSS, HTML, REST API, and Telerik Kendo UI.
