Software Developer

Who We Are Looking For AGCO is currently seeking a Software Developer, internally titled as Technical Project Engineer, to join our global diagnostics development team in Hesston, KS with the opportunity to work remotely. The Software Developer will play a key part in the development and maintenance of the service tool applications used for AGCO's worldwide fleet of agricultural equipment. We are seeking a developer who will implement solutions according to requirements and collaborate with the team in design discussions. This position would especially appeal to a candidate with an interest in on-board electronics, diagnostics or agricultural equipment.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain AGCO’s service tool applications using the following technologies: C#, MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Typescript
  • Follow implementation guidance from architects and senior developers
  • Participate in the design and development of the service tools with the customer in focus
  • Incorporate requirements and technology needs into solution development
  • Proactively seek information, clarification, and project knowledge from other team members
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop appropriate solutions and improve quality of products
  • Work on-site in Hesston as necessary, approximately 2-4 days a month
  • Adhere to AGCO’s quality standards by performing responsibilities in compliance with Change Management, Project Management Policies, and Guidelines and Procedures
  • Note: Relocation assistance is available to the Hesston, KS area for this position. The Software Developer may travel up to 10% of the time, which may include international travel.


What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline OR portfolio/certifications demonstrating comparable competency
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally


A Plus If You Have

  • Windows application or website development experience with C#, JavaScript and Typescript
  • Software development experience related to electronic diagnostic, fleet management, and/or telematics systems
  • Proficiency in software development practices and version control software
  • Experience working with agricultural equipment
