How will you make an impact in this role?
As a member of the Slack Product Engineering Team, will collaborate with the team to craft, develop, solving, debug, evaluate, modify, deploy, and detail software and systems that meet the needs of customer-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end user applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Function as an active member of an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)
- Work with Product Owners to understand upcoming features and ensure proper design for monitoring, alerting, and self-recovery.
- Participate in code reviews and automated testing
- Debug basic software components and identify code defects for remediation
- Support and monitor software across test, integration, and production environments
- Automate deployments in test or production environments
- Automatically scale applications based on the demand projections
- Develop slack bots using slack APIs and REST interface with Spring, Java, Kotlin
- Consume and develop REST APIs
- Build slack models and consume them per the business logic as needed.
- Participate in change RFCs for production code deployment and help validate, run a script of testing.
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities from the base images
Minimum Qualifications:
- Up to 2 years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience such as:
- Understanding of Agile or other rapid application development methods
- Exposure to design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate
- Exposure to methods relating to application design, software development, and automated testing
- General knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Understanding of object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field required
- Strong Object-oriented conceptual knowledge and core java skills
- Implementing design patterns like MVC, singleton
- Able to adapt and learn slack user interface and APIs and features like modals, dialogues, input element, buttons via HTTP methods.
- Following Test driven development style of developing and debugging
- Able to implement Spring Security framework and HMAC tokenization
- Json and GSon conversion using java and Gson libraries.
Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
