Role

Our team is building assistive intelligence experiences (AIEs), which leverage machine learning to help Splunk users obtain value from their data. As a full-stack software engineer on the AIE team, you will contribute to both the frontend and backend of the applications that we build, which range from Splunk apps to SaaS products.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Gather UI requirements from product managers and product designers
• Implement UIs for AIE applications
• Integrate machine learning models into AIE application backends

This role involves a multi-office, multi-location development environment; prior experience working with local and remote teams is a plus. While experience with products involving applications of ML models within enterprise software is highly desirable, it is not required.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline with 8+ years software engineering experience; Master’s degree with 5+ years experience; or a PhD with 3+ years experience
• Good grasp of CS fundamentals such as concurrency, data structures, algorithms
• Development experience with JavaScript / React and Python / FastAPI
• Experience building scalable, multi-tenant web applications with REST APIs
• Experience developing and productionizing test automation and CI/CD pipelines

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with building and deploying containers on K8s
• Experience in developing software on a public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience using PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks
• Experience with stream processing technology (Pulsar, Kafka, AWS Kinesis)
• Ability to communicate constructively with researchers and engineers from an academic background

In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and benefits, and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $163,200 - 224,400 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $148,000 - 203,500 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $136,800 - 188,100 per year
