Job Description
Responsibilities:
7-Eleven's IT team is growing as we enhance our customers' experiences & deliver on key business objectives. As the IT team grows the IT Program Manager, Transformation Office will work with several project teams to oversee the execution of 26 strategic initiatives focused on: Governances & Process, Talent & Culture, and Architecture, Infrastructure & Operations. In addition to these responsibilities, they will assist the IT Strategy team with its other responsibilities.

The IT Strategy team is part of the IT Strategy & Transformation group, led by the Vice President of IT Strategy & Transformation, which manages multiple business of IT functions such as: IT Strategy, Supplier Relationship Management, IT Compliance, IT Project Management Office (PMO), Agile Center of Excellence (ACoE), Process Modernization, and more.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple project managers, executive leaders, and/or management staff to oversee the execution of 26 strategic IT initiatives
  • Produce and review updates on the overall status of each initiative with executive leadership
  • Ensure each project team is meeting key dates and raise escalations as-needed
  • Serve as the primary Project Manager for a select few of the 26 strategic IT initiatives
  • Maintain a physical office in the Irving, TX Store Support Center
  • Consults with the Budget Management Team on funding for the transformation office

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelors/4 yr degree
Years of Relevant Experience: 6+ years
Years of Management Experience: NA
Certifications/ Licenses: Preferred: Project Management Certifications, Microsoft Office Certifications

Specific Knowledge and Skills:
  • 6+ years of related experience in Project Management, Leadership, or similar roles
  • Experience managing large projects and/or overseeing multiple projects at once
  • Experience with preparing C-Suite & Executive level reports
  • Detailed understanding and/or experience of running a project management office (PMO)
  • Preferences: Previous experience in an IT department, technical certifications
