Humana is seeking a Software Engineer 2 who is curious and loves the challenge of solving problems that meet our customers’ needs. You will be part of our Enterprise Data and Services team which builds applications that deliver aggregated operational data used across the organization. The Software Engineer 2 will code software applications based on business requirements with focus on code quality, performance, security and resiliency. You will help build new solutions along with updating existing legacy applications on-premise using modern technology stack and modern engineering practices. Responsibilities

The Software Engineer 2 standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches problem and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3-5 years of experience developing and testing of software application
• Experience working in Agile environment
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree
• Experience with Cloud development

Additional Information

Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
