Our Propulsion team is seeking a talented engineer, lead, or manager to provide technical oversight of the external propulsion development suppliers in order to support the development and testing of propulsion technologies.
What you'll do:
- Lead the development and execution of propulsion system test plans including fuel system, propulsion performance characterization, reliability/maintainability testing, aerodynamic performance characterization, thermal management, and acoustic performance.
- Lead design and analysis activities related to propulsion system improvements.
- Oversee the development of in-house propulsion test facilities.
- Produce technical reports to capture and communicate the findings of the propulsion system testing and analysis.
- Oversee the development and release of detailed design documents including CAD models, 2D drawings, assembly instructions, acceptance test plans and other design artifacts.
- Use data and analysis to set acceptance criteria for production and engineering propulsion hardware testing.
Projects you might work on:
- V-BAT propulsion system development.
Required qualifications:
- Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Has a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
- Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Will supervise the activities of others.
Preferred qualifications:
- Masters or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Propulsion/Combustion focus)
- Leadership/Management Training
$144,023 - $195,647 a year
Salary Range: Base + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)
