General Job Function:
The Mechanical Process Engineering Aide I supports the development of master data necessary to manufacture mechanical products within Westinghouse Parts Business Fulfillment.
Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority):
  • Development and maintenance of routings (sequence of operations) for machined products
  • Development and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for machined products including raw material form selection
  • Obtaining input from Machinists/Engineering when necessary for routing/BOM development
  • Conducting post-job briefs to gather feedback for continuous improvement of routings/BOMs
  • Conducting pre-job briefs to detect routing/BOM issues prior to the start of production
  • Development and maintenance of inspection plans for machined products

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:
Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) – Minimum Requirement:No requirement.
2-Year Technical Degree preferred.
Years of Experience (if applicable): 2+
Skills and Competencies: Hands-on Mechanical Product Manufacturing Experience (Machinist or equivalent) required.
Ability to interpret product drawings and specifications required.
Understanding of mechanical inspection and inspection techniques required.
Strong interpersonal communication skills required.
SAP PP and QM module experience preferred.
