The role you’ll contribute:
Working under minimal supervision, the Director Data Strategy & Analytics, is a business minded individual responsible for understanding the data needs across the department and to develop and execute a roadmap to maximize data capabilities and business insights. The Director is responsible for scaling the data function as the portfolios evolve and transforming data into insights that inform portfolio strategy and decision making. This position requires considerable expertise with enterprise data architecture, business intelligence, project management and technical leadership.

- Lead the future direction of data strategy and processes, including intake, sources, database design and structure, data integrity and database tools.
- Transform data and information into insights that inform high-level strategy and tactical decision-making in support of portfolio objectives.
- Lead, mentor and direct the activities of individual contributors for the data warehouse and business intelligence team.
- Develop and execute a plan to maximize self-service capabilities for internal users.
- Oversee internal and external application/tool development, integration, and support. When required, supervise and evaluate external consultants.
- Develop and implement business intelligence and analytics solutions and gaining support of multiple stakeholders.
- Influencing and effecting business process changes to support an efficient and cost-effective business operations environment.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Economics, Engineering or Statistics.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in one of the following: Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Economics, Engineering or Statistics.
- 10+ years of investment analytics, data warehousing, and business intelligence experience
- Deep understanding of investment company processes and functions.
- Experience with data science, statistics, distributed data warehousing.
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal, BlackRock Aladdin, or similar investment industry software and tools.
- Project management and industrial engineering concepts and process.
