Military Space Operations in Littleton, CO has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer supporting the Protected Communications mission area. In this role you will develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. You will contribute by completing a diverse set of tasks and responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Engage with internal suppliers, manufacturing, and subcontractor/suppliers.
  • Audit quality systems for deficiencies and drive correction.
  • Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
  • Work includes support of Quality metrics generation and reporting, Cause and Effect analysis, and Program customer interface.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an engineering or science discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Technical experience in a related discipline (e.g. Quality Engineering, System Safety, Electrical/Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing, Integration & Test).
  • Experience with LM Space Quality tools (i.e. VE-CAMs, SAP QNotes, P2P, Automation Framework)
  • As a successful member of the team that delivers exceptional results, you will need excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and develop rapport with the team and multiple partners and external customers
  • US Citizenship with active DOD Secret to start and the ability to obtain DOD Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to work off-shifts and weekends. Position will require periodic off-shift support for hardware assembly, testing, and deployment.
  • Some travel will be required for this position in support of program objectives and procurement activities.
Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).
  • Working well in an environment with results-oriented requirements and dynamic schedules.
  • Current MRB certification. Experience making Preliminary Review / MRB decisions.
  • Experience with either supply chain quality or early program startup tasks.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
