Isobar Public Sector is seeking a Software Engineer who is passionate about developing and deploying content rich web applications, APIs, services, and scripts. You will be working with a strong team to bring the latest technology to customers.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain Java microservices deployed in Kubernetes
• Use DevSecOps methodology to quickly develop, secure, and deploy changes
• Work with the architecture team to support application development and implementation of all Application Programing Interface (API).
• Foster an API-Product-Driven design approach.
• Employ design patterns that enable code simplicity, user needs, and future maintainability.
• Plan and analyze user stories.
• Design, develop, and deploy software in accordance with industry best practices. This includes, but is not limited to, following 12 Factor App development practices (12factor.net), cloud-native (cncf.io), NIST Risk Management Framework, building/deploying microservices on OpenShift Platform, and deploying software with zero downtime.

Who You Are

• A US Citizen and possess a public trust clearance (or be eligible to obtain one).
• 2+ years of experience in Java development
• 2+ years of experience in Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• 1+ years of experience with Docker
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with Agile development methodology
• Knowledge/experience with Microservice architecture
• Knowledge/experience with AWS technologies like EKS, Lambda, S3, SQS
• Knowledge/experience with messaging architectures and technologies like Kafka and ActiveMQ
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Apigee, Jenkins a PLUS
