We are Lockheed Martin

As a Safety Engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics you will be a key contributor in the experienced Environment, Safety and Health Department.

In this role, you will conduct safety management activities across a variety of production, technical and maintenance functions. Typical roles of the selected candidate may include:

  • Have regular interaction with all levels of the organization to ensure compliance with safe work practices and completion of risk mitigation activities

  • Work with leadership of assigned area to create a strategic plan for continuous improvement

  • Serve as a resource for questions regarding legal and other requirements

  • Assist in incident investigations and the root cause and corrective action process

  • Conduct job hazard analysis to identify hazards and implement the necessary controls

  • Support the ESH department in events that promote a safe and healthy work environment

  • Must be a US Citizen. This position supports a facility that requires special access.

A level 2 employee Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.

This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in an occupational safety and health discipline, or similar degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of industrial processes.

  • Experience working within Safety Management Systems, preferably ISO 45001 or ISO 14001.

  • Ability to work within web-based ESH management software.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
