The Mission Systems Integration and Test (MSIT) engineer monitors and manages the test fleet's mission system health using analysis, test documentation, special tools, and post-flight data reviews. MSIT engineers supports technical planning and integration of test requirements into test plans and executes test either at the aircraft or from a mission control room using telemetered data.
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Edwards AFB, CA is seeking Systems Engineer (Mission Systems). In this role, you will perform technical planning, system integration, mission planning, verification & validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total F-35 Mission Systems and Mission Planning Environment (previously Offboard Mission Systems). Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product test requirements into test plans. Oversees and executes system level test. Analyzes system performance using a variety of tools and methods to troubleshoot on and off-aircraft systems.
Must be a US Citizen ; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Aeronautical, Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering or related technical degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience/combined education
Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Basic Analysis knowledge
Experience with F-35 Flight Test
Experience with Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) test procedures
Experience filling discipline engineer roll in Mission control room environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
