Aveshka is looking for a
SharePoint and UI/UX Developer in support of a high op-tempo, high visibility, and high-impact office within the Department of Health and Human Services. This developer needs to have experience in developing in a SharePoint environment with a User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design approach; understanding of Section 508 Conformance and Governance, and solid experience in PowerBI applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement designs for a dashboard and portal environment using current best practices in User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design to design and implement (code) interactive web designs in a SharePoint environment, including interactive graphical content. Product must leverage best practices, be 508/WCAG 2.0 compliant, and work in both desktop and mobile environments.
- Develop an interactive map that allows users to select individual states and view related content on that state. Product must leverage best practices, be 508/WCAG 2.0 compliant, and work in both desktop and mobile environments.
- Work with a team of matrixed personnel, across multiple roles and responsibilities, to develop an end design that incorporates the various users POV.
- Work in an agile environment to develop requirements that enable maturity across the program.
- Develop graphical products to ensure web and social media are visually aligned using engaging, informative, and accessible graphics including icons, charts, diagrams, infographics, and photography selection.
- Work with the program team to create products that are visually consistent across web and social media platforms, which align with HHS standards.
- Redesign content as needed as part of ongoing modernization efforts. Ensure that content is migrated completely using a phase-based approach.
- Support search engine optimization of HHS digital content by ensuring that content is tagged appropriately and can be easily found using major search engines.
- Support the product team and PMO to conduct quality assurance of new products and address existing quality issues by testing the site to ensure that it functions correctly/contains the correct content.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 4 years military experience in lieu of degree
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of SharePoint and PowerBI applications development experience
- 3+ years in definable projects developing and supporting dashboards and portals
- Support leading web design and development requirements
- Experience in agile delivery
- User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design
- SharePoint content management, including use of SharePoint web publishing, Visual Studio, and SharePoint Designer. Must be able to design and implement new webpages in a SharePoint 2016 environment or higher
- Content migration
- Familiarity with implementation of WCAG 2.0 and Section 508 requirements
Required Clearance:
- Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, active Public Trust preferred
