Job Summary
Process Engineer – Cold Chain is responsible for the organization’s Cold Chain distribution program including thermal packaging design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation. They will monitor usage and spend for distribution packaging. Ensures the safe, secure, and cost-effective movement of Company products to patients. This function is critical to the overall results of customer satisfaction, compliance, and supply chain management.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for most aspects of cold chain packaging and shipping within the organization including thermal packaging design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation
- Complete all qualification and validation testing in accordance with good documentation practices to support pharmacy accreditations
- Establishes and governs processes and procedures to support the ongoing sustainment of the program
- Responsible for the investigation and resolution of in transit temperature discrepancies and shipping related customer complaints
- Build and maintain detailed dashboards to provide a clear, concise view of all distribution packaging usage/costs
- Manage the organizational relationship with Cold Chain and shipping material suppliers
- Participate on project teams to continually look at process improvement strategies for business processes and systems
- Perform industry, competitor, and customer research to identify trends, opportunities to utilize new materials, and threats to remain on the forefront of emerging Cold Chain distribution best practices and Good Distribution Practices
- Prepare graphs, spreadsheets, reports, and PowerPoint presentations as needed for leadership review

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering , or related area of study; or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience
2 years of experience working in a project management or engineering enivroment, including facilitating teams and project analysis

Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and in recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems and providing both short and long-term solutions
Experience in applying process engineering and statistics to develop meaningful analysis
Experience in leading teams and change management
Experience communicating both verbally (on phone, one-on-one, to groups) and in writing (emails, letters, reports, presentations) to various audiences (work group, team, company management, prospective acquisitions, external clients)
Experience with MS Office Suite
Willing to travel up to 25% of time for business purposes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience executing Cold Chain Packout testing and validation reports in a regulated environment
Experience in mail order, pharmacy operations, and/or healthcare operations
Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
Experience with data analysis tools, such as PowerBI
