Software Engineer

Trajector helps the underserved and at-risk disabled population in their quest to receive all the disability benefits they medically, legally, and ethically qualify for from both government and private entities. We develop medical evidence that helps our clients navigate the complex disability benefits journey to improve their life trajectory.

Trajector is seeking a highly talented Software Engineer to build and enhance applications to power our next generation products and workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience working with AWS, Node.js, TypeScript, and Express. This person will have a passion for solving problems using technology and able to collaborate with team members to achieve goals. The incumbent will work remotely and within the Eastern time zone.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software applications and systems using AWS, Node.js, TypeScript, and Express
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Troubleshoot and debug mission critical applications directly connected to revenue collection
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in software development
• Strong knowledge of Node.js/Express, JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker and utilization of AWS-based solutions
• Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL
• Experience with modern Git workflows
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, such as design patterns and testing
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum internet speed of 10 Download/5 Upload to be eligible for hire

Preferred Skills:

• Experience implementing build/deploy pipelines while working in a CI/CD environment
• Experience developing user interfaces using a modern JS/TS framework such as React, Vue.js, Angular or Svelte.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Zoho
• Familiarity with microservice architectures
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB
