Job Description

The Role:

The Applications Developer advances the LVCVA's information technology by designing, analyzing, coding, and testing necessary specifications for new and existing applications and databases. This position utilizes various platforms and tools to integrate systems to meet service levels and better work processes supporting the Authority's goals.

What You'll Do:

Keep in mind that this list is not all-inclusive.

  • Establish and design detailed application specifications and prototypes through collaboration with ambassadors and the IT Applications team.
  • Develop efficient and maintainable application code according to specifications to provide automated solutions to manual business processes.
  • Create efficient database designs for application storage.
  • Determine application rollout phases according to priority, complexity, and base functionality.
  • Perform thorough unit, integration, and user-acceptance testing before application rollout.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Remain informed within the development discipline for best practices and industry trends.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field
  • Minimum of two years of application development experience in .NET using C#
  • Proficient in web development and user interface design• Proficient in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, MVC, WPF, Web API, T-SQL, OpenXML, and tools such as Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Postman, and Fiddler
  • Experience with structural SDLC standards and IT software project management
  • Experience in Azure and related cloud technologies is highly desired
  • Working knowledge in ASP.NET, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server, Web Services, and Team Foundation Services is highly desired
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas, verbally and in writing to ambassadors, vendors, etc.
  • Ability to perform in a multi-project development environment and meet deadlines and schedules
  • Ability to support and respect the various cultural and ethnic values, behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes of a diverse workplace
