Digital Marketing Backend Developer
Position Overview
Shaw’s IT Digital Marketing group builds innovative websites and applications that support one of the leading flooring manufacturers in the world. We are looking for a full-time Software Engineer to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Development Lead, business partners, and other developers on the team to produce consumer-facing websites and internal web applications for the Shaw marketing group. We are looking for someone with the skills and experience to help us build the next generation of websites and applications at Shaw while using modern frameworks and technologies. If you are passionate about creating solutions, excited by seeing real people use what you have built and have a desire to make a difference every day, this is the role for you. This position is eligible for 100% remote working.
Minimum Experience & Qualifications
  • C# - 2-4 years • ASP.NET - 2-4 years
  • JavaScript - 2-4 years, including experience with popular libraries like jQuery
  • HTML/CSS - 2-4 years
  • SQL - 2-4 years, including experience with stored procedures, functions, and views
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Some experience with package managers like NuGet or npm
  • Some experience with configuration and deployment of web-based applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze problems and write documentation/requirements that are understandable by non-technical people
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with others
  • Excellent testing, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Must be enthusiastic and optimistic in the face of change
Preferred Experience
  • ASP.NET MVC
  • NET Core
  • API tools like Postman
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
  • JavaScript frameworks like React, VueJS, or Angular
  • Kentico CMS, Kentico Kontent, or other content management systems
How We Work
Our team is 100% remote, although those of us who live nearby will occasionally meet up in person at the Shaw headquarters in Dalton, GA. We use Microsoft Teams to stay connected. Besides messaging, we have video calls every morning, for every meeting, and throughout the day, as necessary. Our tech stack is rooted in ASP.NET, Web API, and SQL Server running (mostly) in Amazon AWS. We use Git for source control and GitHub Actions for builds and deployments. We use Agile/Scrum methodologies to organize our project roadmap and plan our sprints.
